Thanks to our new salt storage facility, the Town of Somers will be able to store four times the salt volume of years past.  This means less sleepless nights for us, and safer roads for you!

This building was budgeted to cost Somers roughly $650,000. By handling the site work, paving, foundation and flatwork in-house as opposed to hiring outside contractors, we were able to bring the completed building in at around $350,000 (shout out Highway staff).  Utilizing a $300,000 State grant, the entire project cost Somers taxpayers $50,000.
